KARACHI: Weather has turned pleasant as different parts in Karachi received moderate rain on Friday. The sixth spell of rain has reduced the intensity of heat up to 25 degree centigrade.
More than 40 feeders of K-Electric tripped immediately across the megalopolis in different areas including Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, Saddar, Korangi, Landhi, Orangi, Liaquatabad, Jamshed Town, Naval Colony, Gulistan e Jauhar, Gulshan e Iqbal and Malir.
Motorcyclists are specially advised to ride cautiously as roads have become slippery. People are advised to stay away from electric wires and poles. Traffic jam is reported on multiple arteries.
Earlier, the Meteorological Department had informed that rain will begin across Sindh including Karachi. Monsoon winds were expected to enter Sindh from Friday to Monday.
According to details, the monsoon rain was likely to start from Friday. Weather forecasters had predicted more monsoon rains in Sindh from Friday (today) to Monday.
