Wearing of facemasks mandatory at public places, offices: NCOC

KARACHI: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday announced that viewing the rising number of coronavirus cases wearing of facemasks would be mandatory at public places, private and public offices.
This was decided by the NCOC meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar in Islamabad. The forum recommended wearing masks at crowded places.
The NCOC asked the masses to must wear masks every time before leaving home. It has directed the provinces to ensure implementation of wearing of masks by the masses.
At least 825 more people tested Covid-19 positive after the tests of 29,477 over the last twenty-four hours.
According to the latest statistics, the virus claimed lives of 14 more people during the last twenty-four hours.
The figure of patients recovered from the virus has reached 311,814. There are now 11,627 active cases in the country.
