We ties good military relations with Pakistan, hopefully it will continue: Pentagon

The Pentagon has refrained from commenting on Pakistan’s internal political affairs, further said that, we are committed to maintaining strong military ties with Pakistan.
During a media briefing in Washington, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the United States and Pakistan have common interests in terms of peace and stability in South Asia.
“We acknowledge that Pakistan and the Pakistani people have been affected by terrorist attacks in the country and that Pakistan has played a key role in the region,” Kirby said.
A Pentagon spokesman apologized for not responding when asked about Imran Khan’s allegations of US involvement in the conspiracy of regime change in Pakistan and of Shahbaz Sharif becoming Prime Minister.
John Kirby said that he would not talk about the internal political affairs of Pakistan.
Few days earlier, White House spokesman has also said that a democratic Pakistan is important to US interests.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been accusing the US of conspiring to bring a no-confidence motion against him and change the government. However, this has been denied by the US several times.
