Spillways were opened at Mangla Dam in Mirpur Azad Kashmir when the water level rose.
One lakh cusecs of water will be released into the Jhelum River from Mangla Dam.
According to Deputy Commissioner Mirpur, 30,000 cusecs of water is being released at present while emergency has been declared in the adjoining settlements along the river.
