KARACHI: Bowling coach Waqar Younis on Friday announced that he would no longer use social media after his Twitter account was hacked and the hacker liked an obscene video with his account.
He said his family had more priority for her than using social media.
“With profound grief, I would like to inform you that when I woke up in the morning I found that someone had liked a very inappropriate and obscene video with my Twitter account. I used to think that social media is a platform to interact with your acquaintances,” Waqar Younis said in a video statement.
He said it was not the first time that the man had hacked his account.
“Nevertheless, this man seems not going to stop so I have decided that I would no longer be available on social media as my family and traditional values have more importance for me. I am sorry if someone is hurt from the activity,” he said.
