‘Want to deliver for the province,’ Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo will take charge as CM

Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has been elected by Balochistan Assembly as the Chief Minister of the province on Friday (today). He has been elected unopposed. Bizenjo will take oath and charge of the position today.

Leader of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo resigned from the Balochistan Provincial Assembly as a Speaker to file his nomination as Chief Minister after Jam Kamal Khan resigned from the post last week.

Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman Senate in a presser notified that Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo will be Chief  Minister of Balochistan. The decision to nominate him was taken by alliance political parties of Balochistan.

Bizenjo is elected as the Chief Minister of Balochistan unopposed because, by 5 pm on Thursday (yesterday), no other members of the provincial assembly filed their nominations for the elections. Bizenjo talked with the media after filing the nomination and promised the nation that instead of just talking he wants to deliver for the province.

After the resignation of Mir Abul Qudoos from the Speaker post, Mir Jan Jamali has been nominated by alliance parties of Balochistan to take over the responsibilities of the vacant position.

It should be mentioned, that Mir Abul Qudoos will hold the office of Chief Minister for the second time as he was elected as CM of Balochistan in January 2018 after the resignation of then Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri.
