Voting on no-confidence motion could go on till next week: Fawad Chaudhry
Federal Minister for Information and Law Fawad Chaudhry has hinted at holding a vote on the no-confidence motion next week and said that the vote on the no-confidence motion could go to next week.
He said that we will not take much time, before the discussion the Foreign Secretary will brief the House on the letter gate.
Earlier on April 07, A five-member bench of the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the April 3 ruling of the Deputy Speaker and dissolution of the National Assembly was unconstitutional, after which the Supreme Court restored the National Assembly and ordered to reconvene National Assembly’s session on April 9.
The court had ruled that no member should be barred from voting. If the no-confidence motion succeeds, the new Prime Minister will be elected in the same session.
