Visually impaired girl raped by music teacher, watchman in Okara

In yet another heart-wrenching incident of child sexual abuse, a 16-year-old visually impaired girl was raped by her music teacher and watchman in Okara.
The police have arrested the music teacher and the watchman of a special education school on the charge of alleged rape and have registered a case against them on the complaint of the victim’s father.
According to the FIR, the visually impaired student was subjected to rape by the music teacher and watchman for two months.
On the other hand, the department of special education suspended three employees involved in the heinous act.
Data reveals that 1,207 girls and 1,004 boys were victims of exploitation, while this data brings the number of abused children to more than 12 per day.
Despite the hanging of Imran Ali, the man convicted for the rape and murder of six-year-old Zainab Ansari in Kasur back in 2018, incidents of child sexual abuse have not stopped in the country.
According to the information received from the National Police Bureau, a total of 11,160 cases of rape/gang rape were registered in the country during the last 3 years.
