Pakistani fast-bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has become the first Pakistani and third international bowler in T20 cricket to take four wickets in as many balls during a Vitality Blast fixture between Hampshire and Middlesex.
Shaheen Afridi clinched four wickets in four balls in the 18th over as Middlesex was bundled out for 121. He dismissed John Simpson, Steven Finn, Thilan Walallawita and Tim Murtagh on consecutive deliveries.
Earlier, he also bagged two more wickets in the seventh and 14th over, reducing Middlesex to 80 for 6. The 20-year-old finished with remarkable figures of 6-19, best-ever by a Hampshire bowler in 20-over cricket format, and helped his side register 20-run win.
