Victims of Islamabad sexual violence case tie knot
The couple from Islamabad, the recent victims of sexual assault, have tied the knot.
A video is being circulated on social media in which SSP Investigation Islamabad Atta ur Rehman is seen consoling the families of the victims. The SSP has also announced their marriage in the video message.
Earlier, some videos and photos had gone viral on social media which showed that a woman along with her male companion was manhandled and sexually assaulted by a group of men led by a person named Usman Mirza in Islamabad. The incident emerged on Tuesday.
However, taking swift actions, Islamabad Police announced in the early hours of Wednesday that they had arrested the main culprit behind stripping and filming a woman in the capital as social media outrage intensified.
Later, three more accused of the case were arrested. In the latest development, they have been remanded into police custody.
Did Usman and accomplices manage to get a bail?
Meanwhile, a video clip, which was uploaded on the TikTok account of the main accused Usman, also went viral. In the video, Usman was seen celebrating his bail with other accomplices.
However, it was later revealed that the video was old and had no relevance with the case. According to the reports, Usman Mirza had been arrested in another case prior to the aforementioned case of sexual violence.
Initial investigations suggest that the accused may involved in organised network known for invading rented flats through duplicate keys and abusing the couples over their suspicious activities.
