Vegetable prices skyrocket ahead of Eid ul Adha

The prices of essential vegetables have skyrocketed as shopkeepers are selling items at their own rates instead of following the official price list released by the government.
According to details, shopkeepers are selling vegetables and other spices at their own prices instead of the official price list by government.
In Lahore, onions are being sold within a range of Rs80 to Rs110, while the price of tomatoes reached Rs140 per kg from Rs100 per kg.
Lemons have also become more expensive and are being sold at Rs320 per kg. Garlic is being sold at Rs250 to Rs300 per kg.
In addition, green chilies are available at Rs120 per kg and coriander at Rs20 per kg.
It is to be noted that Eid ul Adha in Pakistan will be observed on July 10 (Sunday).
