“Vaping culture becomes a fashion trend among teenagers, which is dangerous”: Salma Hasan

During an interview, Salma Hasan talked about the challenges faced by a single parent and how harmful things are normalising among teenagers.

Salma Hasan is one of the finest actors in the Pakistan drama industry. Her characters in dramas look very natural and subtle. Currently, her role in the famous drama Mere Humnasheen is appreciated by the audience.

With acting, Salma is also managing her duty as a single parent to her daughter Fatima. While talking to a Fuchsia magazine, the actress shared her journey in the drama and also how parenting has changed in today’s times.

While talking about today’s children, the actress said, “the biggest issue is that today’s children are way more aware of everything. They think they know more about the world than their parents. Everything is getting changed quite fast in today’s time. Due to this, there is a huge generation gap as well. Parents also need to be aware of anything that’s going on around them”.

While comparing her teenage time to the current one, she stated, “the things we found abnormal are pretty much normal for this generation. We could never dream of saying that smoking is normal or we will stay outside late at night. But now the young generation found it pretty normal”.

Salma also talked about the vaping culture which is quite dangerous for youngsters. She said that children say that “it is a fashion”. Now, the other most dangerous thing which is the vape culture, it is getting crazy. They say it is a fashion.

She also raised the question that why vapes are easily accessible and how parents are taking it very lightly and normalising it among their children but this is not okay.
