The dollar continued to appreciate in the domestic exchange markets today. In the interbank exchange market, the dollar rose by 5 paise to Rs 163.86.
In the open market, the dollar rose by 10 paise to Rs 164.30. On the other hand, despite the decline in the price of gold in the international barter market, the value of gold in Pakistan has not decreased.
According to Sindh Barter Bazaar Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola in the country remains at Rs. 116,500.
The value of ten grams of gold remains at Rs 99,880. According to the association, the price of gold in the global exchange market fell by 2 dollars to 1921 dollars an ounce.
