Use of social media for FIA officers, officials made conditional

PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has made use of social media conditional for its officers and officials alike.

No FIA official or officer would display name or monogram of the institute on social media including YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Facebook, read a circular issued by the director general FIA.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa FIA has verified the new directions. Name or logo of the security institute would not be displayed on social media other than the official account.

“Moreover, the officers/ officials of FIA are also hereby restricted from posting/ sharing any official information, letters, comments including social, political or religious at any forum without prior approval of the competent authority. In case of failure, departmental action will be initiated,” read the circular.
