USA woman with 42-ft long fingernails breaks world record

Diana Armstrong from Minnesota, USA, has broken the world record for the longest fingernails on a pair of hands (female) and the longest fingernails on a pair of hands ever (female).
The USA woman stopped cutting her nails after the family tragedy in 1997. Diana is now the official Guinness World Record holder for longest fingernails on a pair of hands (female), with nails measuring 1306.58cm. The woman has been growing her fingernails for over 25 years.
According to the official website of Guinness World Record, the woman stopped cutting her nails after her daughter Latisha passed away in her sleep from an asthma attack. “She was the only one who did my nails. She polished them and filed them for me”, the woman said.
Diana explained that she battled depression for a decade, and growing out her nails was her way of keeping her late daughter in her thoughts. “Every time I look at my nails I think of my daughter. I think she’s my guardian angel”.

Previously, Ayanna Williams from the USA held the record for the longest fingernails on a pair of hands (female). By a startling 573.03 cm, Diana’s fingernails broke Ayanna’s previous record (18 ft 8 inches).
