US offers Egypt to unblock Suez Canal

The United States has offered Egypt to unstuck Suez Canal, which handles about 12 percent of the world trade and is considered to be one of the four biggest trade routes.
The ‘Evergreen’ ship has stuck in the canal due to storm and heavy winds in the area, while experts believe that it may take few weeks to unstuck it.
US President Joe Biden said that his country possessed the equipment and capability to free the ship. He said the head of the world’s largest shipping company was inspecting the situation.
The artificial ship canal connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea. Soon after the tragedy, satellite pictures of traffic of ships had gone viral on social media. According to reports, a queue of as many as 200 ships has been created on both sides of the canal. The shipping companies are mulling over taking the route of Africa, however they are still reluctant about the security on this path.
The waterway is 193 km long and 205 meter wide, while the ship stuck in it is 400 meter long and 60 meter wide.
