‘US has great relations with Pakistan’: Trump addresses crowd in India

Donald Trump said on Monday that the U.S. and Pakistan have very good relations and are starting to see signs of significant progress between the two.
Addressing the gigantic Motera Stadium gathering in Ahmedabad, India, the US president said the US is working with Pakistan to crack down on border terror issues. “We have great relations with Pakistan and we hope to be able to reduce the tensions between the countries with these relationships,” Trump said.
He also said the US and India are committed to working together to put a stop to terrorists and fight their ideologies.
“For this reason my administration has been working with Pakistan in a very positive way since taking office to crack down on terrorist organizations and militants operating on the Pakistani border,” Trump said.
The US president arrived in India on a two-day official visit together with First Lady Melania Trump on Monday. Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are expected to focus on a wide array of bilateral and regional issues including trade, defense and security in their talks in Delhi on Tuesday.
