The members of US Electoral College(also known as presidential electors) voted for Joe Biden marking his official victory for presidential race . Joe Biden declared winner with 306 electoral votes while Donald Trump got 232 electoral votes. The development which came as a reaffirmation of the election results.
According to Financial Times report, Representatives from Biden’s rival Republican Party also acknowledged that he would be the next US president.
“And once again, the rule of law, our Constitution, and the will of the people have prevailed.” Joe Biden wrote on Twitter.
Biden also reassured his campaign promise to be a president for all Americans, whether they voted for him or not.
Democrat politician Joe Biden will become the 46th president of the United States after his swearing-in ceremony likely to be held on 20 January 2021.
