US approves potential sale of F-16 equipment to Pakistan: Pentagon

The US State Department has approved the potential sale of F-16 aircraft sustainment and related equipment to Pakistan in a deal valued at up to $450 million, according to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The US Department of State has approved the contract worth $450 million, the contract will be given to Lockheed Martin Corporation.
The US Defence Security Operations Agency, the US Department of State has approved the sale of related tools and equipment for the Pakistan Air Force’s F-16 fleet to the government of Pakistan.
“The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Pakistan of F-16 Case for Sustainment and related equipment for an estimated cost of $450 million,” the press release stated.
According to the report, this demand was made from the US government for the sustainment and support program of F-16 aircraft on behalf of Pakistan.
