 Unofficial results show PTI leading in G-B elections

Voting for the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections has been completed, after which the counting of votes is underway.

Twelve of the 23 seats so far have resulted in complete unconfirmed and unofficial results. The PTI has won 6 seats and has a clear lead in three more seats.

Independent candidates have won four seats. PPP and MWM have won one seat each. PML-N is leading with two seats.

Unconfirmed unofficial results have been received from all polling stations of GBA 18 Constituency 4 Diamer PTI candidate Haji Gulbar Khan won with 6793 votes. Independent candidate Kifayat-ur-Rehman came second with 5986 votes.

Independent candidate from GBA 9 Skardu 3, Minister Saleem has won with 6,334 votes. PTI candidate Fada Nashad came second with 5,184 votes. PPP candidate Wazir Zarqar came third with 2,032 votes.

Independent candidate Haji Shah Baig won from GBA 15 Diamer 1 with 3000 votes. Independent candidate Dalpizir came second with 2600 votes.

An unofficial result of all the polling stations of GBA-17 has come. Haider Khan of PTI has been declared the winner with 5389 votes. Rehmat Khaliq of JUI came second with 5162 votes.

Complete unofficial result of GB8, Skardu 2 has been received in which MWM candidate Kazim has won with 7,534 votes.

In this constituency, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah of PPP came second with 7,146 votes.

In GB-24 Ganchha, PPP’s Engineer Muhammad Ismail won with 6,206 votes while PTI’s Shamsuddin came second with 5,361 votes.

In GB-22 Ganchha, independent candidate Mushtaq Hussain won with 6,051 votes while PTI candidate came second with 4,945 votes.

GB7 Skardu 1 has also received a complete unofficial result according to which PTI candidate Raja Zakaria has won with 5,290 votes.

In this constituency, PPP candidate Syed Mehdi Shah came second with 4,114 votes.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Shams Lone has won GB-14 Astor with 5,354 votes. Dr. Muzaffar Riley of the People’s Party came second with 3,479 votes.

The complete unofficial result of GB-13 Astor-1 has come out in which PTI candidate Khalid Khurshid has won with 4,836 votes while PML-N candidate Farman Ali Khan came second with 3,528 votes. Have been on

Independent candidate Raja Nasir Ali Khan has won in GB 10 Skardu 4 Rondo who has got 4,841 votes. PTI Minister Hassan came second with 3,100 votes.

Raja Azam Khan of GB-12 Shigar Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has won with 9,322 votes.

Voting for 23 of Gilgit-Baltistan’s 24 seats began at 8 am yesterday and continued uninterrupted until 5 pm.

According to the election rules and regulations, the people present at the polling stations were also allowed to cast their votes till 5 pm.

According to the Election Commission, there are more than one lakh registered voters in Gilgit-Baltistan, out of which one and a half lakh have become voters for the first time.
