UNGA to hold urgent meeting tomorrow to discuss Gaza’s situation
Upon request of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), UN General Assembly will hold an urgent meeting on Thursday (tomorrow) to discuss the grave situation in Gaza.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will lead Pakistani delegation in the meeting. He is on diplomatic mission to support Palestine under special instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
On May 18, the federal cabinet had decided to send medical aid to Palestine on humanitarian grounds in view of the medical emergency faced by the Palestinians as a result of Israeli aggression.
The meeting of federal cabinet was held in Islamabad with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair.
Later talking to media about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain had said Prime Minister Imran Khan had provided leadership to the Muslim Ummah from day one on the Palestine issue.
