UNGA president lauds Shah Mahmood for highlighting Palestine issue
ISLAMABAD: President of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Volkan Bozkir on Thursday lauded the efforts of Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi for highlighting the issue of Palestine.
“It is our shared responsibility to provide equal human rights to everyone everywhere. Israeli aggression caused immense loss of lives in Palestine. He said the Palestine-Israel conflict was as old as the issue of Kashmir and the resolution of Kashmir was imperative for prosperity of the region. He said he fully realized the situation of the Indian occupied Kashmir.
On COVID-19, the UNGA president said a joint strategy could help cope with the challenges of economy which surfaced amid the pandemic. Coronavirus gave birth to scores of economic issues in the world, he maintained.
