UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will visit Pakistan on a four-day trip for talks with Pakistani leadership from Sunday.
During the visit, he will address an International Conference on 40 Years of Hosting Afghan Refugees in Pakistan, according to Foreign Office spokeswoman Aisha Farooqui.
The two-day meeting, to be opened by Prime Minister Imran Khan, is being organized by Pakistan and the United Nations Refugee Agency in Islamabad.
The Secretary-General will also call on the President and the Prime Minister to hold a meeting with Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Foreign Minister.
Certain responsibilities by the Secretary-General include meetings with parliamentarians, media and youth.
He will speak about sustainable development, climate change and peacekeeping issues. The general secretary will pay a visit to Lahore. He will also fly to Kartarpur Saheb, a Gurdwara.
