The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) concluded its proceedings today into an alleged misconduct with Umar Akmal amidst a fitness test.

Following a discussion with all the parties involved, it was discovered that the incident took place due to a misunderstanding.

Umar Akmal regretted his actions and apologized. The PCB reprimanded the cricketer while also reminding him of his duties as a cricketer.

According to sources, the matter has now been closed. The PCB nor Umar Akmal will speak regarding the matter.

Reports say that the cricketer misbehaved with his staff members at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. He and his brother Kamran Akmal both could not pass their fitness tests failing “by significant margins.”
