Umar Akmal asks people to follow him on TikTok

Pakistani batsman Umar Akmal has requested his fans and followers on social media to follow him on TikTok as well.

On Facebook and Instagram, he has posted a video of himself walking in a ‘TikToker style’ with a Punjabi song echoing in the background. Earlier he had posted a video of himself dancing on a Punjabi song.

It seems that the former Quetta Gladiators player wants to launch his career as a TikToker now after being banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

In April 2020, the PCB had banned Akmal for three years after finding him guilty of breaching Article 2.4.4 of the PCB’s Anti-Corruption Code. Later in Feb 2021, the Court of Arbitration for Sports had reduced the ban to 12 months.

Therefore, Akmal was not signed by any franchise of the Pakistan Super League the following year. So, the right-handed batsman is free these days and it seems that he is enjoying dancing on Punjabi songs in his leisure time.
