 Umair Jaswal to play Shoaib Akhtar in biopic titled “Rawalpindi Express”

Umair Jaswal is all set to play the legendary bowler of the Pakistani cricket team, Shoaib Akhtar, in the upcoming biographical film “Rawalpindi Express”.

Today, Umair Jaswal announced this exciting news to all his followers. Taking to Instagram, he shared the poster of the upcoming biopic and wrote, “super excited to announce this with all of you. I am honoured to play the living legend, Mr Shoaib Akhtar on the big screen in Rawalpindi Express”.

He further wrote, “With Allah’s blessings may we succeed in our endeavours. We look forward to bringing to you a first of its kind biopic film worthy of worldwide recognition”.

Fellow celebrities sent good wishes and congratulate the Yalghaar actor. Musician Bilal, designer Munib Nawaz, and His brothers, Uzair and Yasir Jaswal also dropped by to show some love.

The upcoming biopic “Rawalpindi Express” is directed by Muhammad Faraz Qaiser, written by Qaiser Nawaz and produced under the banner of Q Films Productions.

The director of the film Faraz Qaiser said in a press release that, “the film will span across 1975 to 2002 and requires physical transformation to be shown by an actor. Umair Jaswal perfectly fits the role as he is a sports and fitness enthusiast and has worked on his body and fitness level for several months. His dedication is unparalleled and he recognises the gravity of the role, and commitment required to bring in the persona of legendary cricketer Shoaib Akhtar live on screen”.
