LONDON: The government of United Kingdom has fined founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain for evading taxes worth more than two million pounds.

Geo TV reported that Altaf Hussain is fined for evading taxes for earnings of millions of pounds over the last 20 years. The investigation in this regard is underway which targets the income and expenditures of the MQM founder and his workers between 1995 and 2015.

Three bouncers, two maids, a driver and a cook serve Altaf Hussain 24 hours at his house in London.

Only monthly expenditures of Altaf’s house plus settlement payment make about £50,000 per month, this excludes the salary paid to the staff working at his London officer for more than 20 years.

Altaf Hussain, through his lawyer, argued that his expenditures were being paid through the donations received by him from home and abroad, therefore he was not entitled to pay the taxes. While, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) believes that he himself was responsible for paying the taxes.
