UAE-Israel deal could have ‘far-reaching implications’: Foreign Office

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has said peace and stability in the Middle East region is Islamabad’s top priority.
In a statement on Saturday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to a two state solution to the Middle East issue.
In response to normalization of ties between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel, he said Pakistan’s approach will be guided by our evaluation of how Palestinians’ rights and aspirations were upheld and how regional peace, security and stability were preserved.
“We have noted the joint statement announcing agreement of the UAE and Israel to have full normalization of relations and this is a development with far-reaching implications,” he said.
