Johannesburg: In the first semi-finals of the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, Pakistan claimed a toss against India.
Pakistan reached the semi-finals by beating Afghanistan in the quarter-finals with six wickets, while India defeated Australia and finished in the semi-finals.
The match between Pakistan and India will start at 1300 hours, according to Pakistani time.
Previously, the two teams clashed in the last World Cup semi-finals in which India had won. Pakistan and India played impressively at the World Cup Under-19. All teams have been multiple World Cup winners.
In 2004 and 2006, the national team won the World Cup while India put the U-19 World Cup on their heads four times.
Both teams have appeared nine times in the U-19 World Cup, five have been won by the national team and four have been won by India.
Pakistan has won two out of three group stage matches while India has won all three of its group matches.
Captains Rohil Nazir, Haider Ali Khan, Mohammad Harrera, all-rounder Abbas Afridi and bowlers Mohammad Amir Khan and Tahir Hussain will be heavily dependent on the national team.
