KARACHI: Two alleged target killers were arrested in a raid jointly carried out by Rangers and police on a tip-off in Karachi on Saturday.
According to details, the suspects were also involved in murder of a Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) worker Asim Muhammed Khan in Liaquatabad Number 10 on Jul 2. An FIR of the murder was registered at Sharifabad police station against unknown people. Following which, Rangers constituted a special team for investigation.
Alleged target killers, Syed Naeem Hyder alias Bara and Muhammed Danish alias Hakla were rounded up in less than 48 hours. While, one of the suspects managed to flee.
A 30 bore pistol was also recovered from possession of the culprits. While, the forensic report of the bullet shell recovered from the murder site has confirmed that the bullet was fired from the same pistol.
During initial investigation, Syed Naeem Hyder made startling revelations. He belonged to a banned outfit and had been involved in sectarian target killing for long. The arrested suspect has been handed over to police for legal actions.
