Two imams of the same mosque in the United Kingdom died of the coronavirus.
British media reports say that the two imams of a mosque named Masjid-al-Momineen on Ash Street in the Blackburn area passed away after contracting the novel coronavirus.
A couple of months ago, Maulana Abdul Majid and Maulana Abdul Razzaq were diagnosed with coronavirus and moved to a hospital where they died.
Both imams died at a mere 24-hour interval, and both had long been imams in local mosques.
The Muslim community, on the other hand, expressed deep sorrow and sadness over the deaths of the Imams and prayed for forgiveness for the deceased and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
A statement from the mosque said: “Due to the current Government guidelines we are unable to share funeral details with you.” “We kindly request that you abide by these rules and support us in these difficult times.”
It should be mentioned that in the United Kingdom the number of people diagnosed with coronavirus has reached 152,000 and 20,732 people died as a result of the deadly pandemic.
