PESHAWAR: Two new polio cases have emerged in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as the polio cases toll soared to 29 across the country this year on Thursday.
A 14-month-old girl has been tested positive for polio virus in tehsil Buttni of Lakki Marwat. The centre said the minor girl was not administered polio drops.
While, a 13-month-old boy is also confirmed to have developed polio disease in tehsil Shakai of South Waziristan.
The Polio Emergency Operation Centre confirmed that excreta samples of the affectees were sent to the laboratory for testing on Feb 25.
The polio cases toll in KP has climbed to 15.
