Two children killed as a boat capsizes in Indus River

Two children were killed when a boat of flood victims capsized in the Indus River in Khairpur while search for five children is on.

The boat was carrying 25 people, including women and children, of whom 18 have been rescued so far. Everyone belongs to the Jatoi community.

The bodies were identified as 14-year-old Leela and 12-year-old Sindhu Sheikh.

Residents of the area are engaged in rescue operations with their help. The women in the second boat from Moore Jhabar were rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
