Two arrested in connection with woman’s suicide at Karachi’s seaview beach

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the alleged suicide of 23-year-old young woman at Karachi’s seaview beach.
The body of a young woman, who reportedly jumped into the sea to end her life three days ago, was fished out from the sea on Sunday by Sahil police.
SSP Karachi South Syed Asad Raza said that on the night of January 7, the police raided the animal hospital where the girl worked, and arrested the suspect (owner) along with another staff member.
“She went missing on Jan 6 and an FIR was lodged on the complaint of her father under Sections 365 [Kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person] and 34 [common intention] of the Pakistan Penal Code,” the officer added.
In the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the owner of the hospital (veterinary doctor) sexually assaulted the girl.
The hospital owner has ‘confessed’ that he had been sexually assaulting the girl for the past two years, police said.
