Two accused involved in Peshawar Mosque Blast arrested
Peshawar: The investigation team of Masjid Kocha Risaldar suicide attack has arrested two suspects in the light of evidence.
At least 57 people have been killed and 198 others injured in a suicide attack at Kocha Risaldar Mosque in Peshawar.
Peshawar Health Department officials said the condition of some of the injured in the blast was critical.
The atmosphere in the city is still mournful on the second day of the blast. The main markets and bazaars of the city are closed after the announcement made by the traders’ organizations.
Police and CTD investigation team have recorded the statements of injured in the suicide attack.
Police sources said that the investigation team has examined the videos obtained from CCTV cameras in different areas.
Witness statements and CCTV videos indicate that the suicide bomber was brought in a rickshaw, along with two other people who facilitated the suicide attack.
Sketches of the suicide bomber and both facilitators have been completed, and the suspects have been taken into custody.
A letter has been sent to CTD to register a case for suicide bombing.
The letter sent by the SHO of Khan Razzaq police station in Peshawar included murder, attempt to murder and terrorism provisions.
The letter states that the the black-clad suicide bomber first fired five or six shots at the security personnel and then quickly entered the mosque and blew himself up.
