Twitterites want arrest of Ibsham Zahid for threatening girl

LAHORE: The guy identified as Ibsham Zahid has allegedly been threatening the victim Fatima for more than three years.

People have took to social media to demand arrest of the young man who has reportedly been described by his own sister as ‘psycho’.

One of Fatima’s friends said Ibsham had been harassing her friend and threatening that he would kill and rape her and her family. “Family of the victim has tried every legal way but our system has failed to give her justice,” she wrote.

The family had lodged an FIR against the suspect and a case against him is pending in the court for the last three years. The police have started cooperating only after the case got highlighted on social media. The boy has reportedly shifted to Islamabad a few months back.

In a threatening video, the boy demonstrates a large cache of weapons in his room and says, “We are Baloch, we don’t break hearts, but we break bones.”

Fatima said he texted him that he was not afraid of jail as his father and grandfather had also served prison sentence. She quoted him saying that his grandfather would say that jails were built for men.
