Twitterites roast opposition after defeat in Senate poll

ISLAMABAD: Twitterites have started trolling the opposition parties after their candidate lost election on the chairman Senate’s seat in the parliament.
Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) candidate Sadiq Sanjrani has taken oath as Senate chairman after being re-elected through secret ballot in the parliament on Friday.
48 votes were casted in favour of Sanjrani, while 42 were casted for former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani. Seven votes of Yousaf Gillani were rejected as the stamps were put on his name instead of the boxes before his name.
The presiding officer, Muzaffar Hussain Shah, said that he had rejected the seven votes and if anyone had objection to his ruling then he should approach the election tribunal.
Following the result, PTI supporters took to Twitter and started roasting the opposition.
