 Twitterites demand #JusticeforSaima

PESHAWAR: Scores of Twitterites are demanding justice for Saima with the hashtag #JusticeforSaima.

The netizens have demanded from the relevant authorities to provide justice to Saima Ali as her father had killed her mother and left her and her brother, Daniyal Abbas, badly injured on July 3 in Peshawar. It has been more than a fortnight to the incident but the police have failed to round up the suspect who is on the loose since then.

Gory and grisly images of the wounded victims are doing rounds on social media.

According to details, Raza Ali was a police constable and drug addict and even his father had asked him to leave his house with his family because of his bad conducts.

Saima Ali said that her father was short-tempered and he had beaten them since they were very young. He even stopped paying her and her brothers’ educational fees, she said adding that her mother had started doing a job and living in a separate house after they had started living in constant fear due to the suspect’s torture.

On July 3, the suspect came to their house and had an altercation with the lady of the house following which he opened fire on them.

“My two aunties Nausheen and Naureen and their children and my elder aunt’s son Masood were also present at our home at that time. They all and my younger sister Imtishal and my younger brother hid themselves in rooms and washrooms.

“After that my father ran towards his car outside and he escaped from there. Then the neighbours came and took us to the hospital. My mother died of her wounds, while I and my brother are seriously injured,” she narrated.

The family has lodged a case against the accused at the Machni Gate Police Station on Warsak Road in Peshawar.
