Twitterites demand action against BJP leader for “marry gori Kashmiri girls” remark

Users of social media have slammed Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Uttar Pradesh Vikram Singh Saini for his controversial misogynistic remarks during a speech on scrapping special status of Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
The Indian government on August 5 announced to repeal the special status given to the occupied Kashmir under the constitution’s Article 370 and Section 35 A, and bifurcated the region into two Union Territories – Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The arbitrary move is feared to spark unrest in the disputed territory.
Addressing a local gathering, BJP’s Saini said bachelors of his party workers were very excited as, they could get married there. He said earlier there was a lot of atrocities on women, their citizenship would be revoked if they married a man from UP. Now it was no problem, he said.
“Get married there. To a white-skinned Kashmiri girl. There should be celebrations. Everyone should rejoice, be it Hindu or Muslims. This is something the entire country should be celebrating,” he said.
Twitterites have expressed disapproval over these obnoxious remarks by politician of the extremist ruling party, which believes in Hindutva.
