 Twitter talks: K-Electric vs Satirist

Pakistani journalist and author Mohammed Hanif, who is famous for his political satires, posted on Twitter that he had never thought he would miss K-Electric while experiencing power outages in Lahore.

“One hour in Lahore and bijli (electricity) has gone 8 times. Never thought I’ll miss,” the journalist wrote on Twitter while mentioning the KE.

Then there came a response from the official account of Karachi’s only electric supplier company who thanked the satirist for including “us in yours”. The KE’s official account said: “We are sorry you have to go through this. At the same time dare we say: ‘What are people if not the sum total of their memories?’ “

We are sorry you have to go through this. At the same time dare we say:

"What are people if not the sum total of their memories?"

Thank you for including us in yours.

In short, the K-Electric is now being witty on social media and people are enjoying it.
