Bollywood actress — famous for her pro-BJP stance, Kangana Ranaut, has been suspended by Twitter on Tuesday.
Twitter suspended Kangana’s account for repeatedly violating its rules after she posted a series of messages.
Following the victory of Mamata Banerjee (BJP’s opponent) in West Bengal election, Kangana had asked Indian prime minister Narendra Modi to reject Banerjee’s victory by declaring presidential rule while citing recent incidents of violence.
“We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behaviour that has the potential to lead to offline harm,” a Twitter spokesman told the Hindustan Times.
However, the actress’ video remains on her Instagram account. She uploaded the video minutes before Twitter suspended her account.
