ANKARA: Turkey has shown keen interest in signing a sustainable and long-lasting Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Pakistan to achieve win-win results for both countries.

Addressing business community in Islamabad, Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul on Friday hoped that Pakistan would final its list of items for the agreement with Turkey this month.

He said leadership of both countries had the objective to boost the bilateral trade to five billion dollars under the Free Trade Agreement.

The ambassador said the existing Pak-Turkey bilateral trade of around 800 million dollars was far below the potential.

He said Turkish companies had invested around 1.5 billion dollars in Pakistan while more companies were willing to invest here.
