TTP commander killed during IBO in North Waziristan

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “an IBO conducted by security forces in Mir Ali North Waziristan led into killing of TTP terrorist commander Safiullah.
Safiullah belonged to Mir Ali and was involved in the killing of four women of an NGO in February 2021 and the target killing of Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) engineers in November 2020.
Moreover, he was also involved in planning and execution of IED attacks on security forces, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
The ISPR said security forces also recovered a huge cache of weapons and ammunition during the operation.
Earlier, during intense exchange of fire with terrorists, a terrorist got killed and six others were apprehended in North Waziristan District.
Media wing of armed forces, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said security forces had conducted an intelligence-based operation in Hassu Khel, Mir Ali, on reported presence of terrorists.
On August 27, terrorists from inside Afghanistan across the international border had opened fire on a military post in Lower Dir district.
The ISPR had said Pakistan Army responded in a befitting manner and in the exchange of fire from inside Afghanistan, one terrorist was killed and two to three got injured.
However, due to terrorists’ fire, Havaldar Gul Ameer resident of Lakki Marwat had got critically injured and embraced shahadat, while under treatment at the hospital.
On August 13, one terrorist was killed and another was apprehended during an action by security forces in Sararogha area of South Waziristan.
During intense exchange of fire, one security personnel had embraced martyrdom. The arrested terrorist had revealed that they had planned to conduct a fire raid on a military post.
Whereas, two terrorists were killed during a clearance operation in North Waziristan on August 3.
