TTP commander dead in remote-controlled blast

KABUL: A Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander has reportedly been killed in a remote-controlled blast in Kabul.

The deceased commander has been identified as Shehryar Mehsood, a key commander of TTP Hakimullah Mehsood Group. Sources said he was targeted on Wednesday evening while he was travelling through a Kabul area in a vehicle. They said Shehryar Mehsood is ranked among close aides of former TTP head Hakimullah Mehsood.
