WASHINGTON: United States President Donald Trump has fired the inspector general of the US intelligence community who was involved in triggering an impeachment probe of the president last year.
In a letter to key lawmakers, Trump said he planned to remove the official, Michael Atkinson, in 30 days, saying, it was vital that he had the fullest confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general.
In the United States, Presidential election will be held according to schedule.
Talking to media in Washington, President Donald Trump said the general elections will be held on 3rd of November and no change will be made in this regard.
He also rejected idea of voting through posts.
