Following the today’s defeat against New Zealand in T20 tri-nation series, Pakistan have named a unique record as the national team failed to hit a single six in T20 format after 8 years.
Finn Allen showed his form ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup by top-scoring for New Zealand with a disciplined batting display in their nine-wicket romp over Pakistan in Christchurch today in the tri-nation series.
Allen blasted six sixes in a tally of 62 off 42 balls as the Black Caps chased down 130-7 with ease at Hagley Oval as New Zealand claimed their second win of the series.
According to Cricinfo, this is the first time that the team has not hit a single six in T20 match played in New Zealand.
On the other hand, the cricket analyst Mazhar Arshad has claimed that, “First time in 8 years Pakistan have failed to hit a six in a completed T20I inns. Last time it was against Australia in Dubai in 2014.”
