ISLAMABAD: Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said the Prime Minister Imran Khanhas called a meeting in Islamabad on Monday (today) to decide about starting train operation in the country.
“All Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) would be adopted during the train operation,” he said while talking to a local news channel.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said if the prime minister would allow to run the trains then operation would be started from Wednesday for all over the country.
On May 8, Railway minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had expressed the hope that Pakistan Railways will restore passenger train operations across the country before Eid.
The minister had said in a video message that the passenger train operations would be restored once Prime Minister Imran Khan had given permission.
“As a democratic Prime Minister, Imran Khan had left the matter for consideration for further two to three days”, he had added.
