 Train crew gang-raped woman on Zakaria Express

A woman resident of Orangi Town Karachi, was allegedly gang-raped on the Zakaria Express from Multan to Karachi. The woman was raped by a travel ticket controller, a manager and a passenger.

The train was supervised by the private sector in which the woman was on her way to Karachi from her father-in-law’s house, Muzaffargarh.

According to the FIR, the victim, whose In-laws are from Muzaffargarh, was divorced by her husband a month and a half ago. She reached Muzaffargarh on May 26 to visit her children.

The victim woman said that when the train left Rohri, Zahid, a private sector ticket controller, offered her a berth and took her to an AC bogie compartment. When she attempted to leave, the accused threatened to kill him and made him a target of abuse. After that, manager Aqib came and he also forcibly raped her. After Aqib, another person came in the compartment and he also raped the woman.

Arriving at Karachi station, the victim informed the police about the incident and Railway Police Station Karachi City registered a case against the accused. It was informed that the train crew involved in the incident has escaped.
