Traders protest against police in Peshawar’s Jahangirpura Bazaar

PESHAWAR: Traders took to streets against SHO Shah Qabul Ahmed Rashid who detained merchants for opening shops within the bazaar.

According to the traders, police arrested them traders for opening markets within the area of the Shah Qabul police station.

Security personnel arrived immediately and arrested the shopkeepers for violating section 144 said the police. Following the arrest, other shopkeepers blocked the road in protest.

Residents of the bazaar were also arrested and not taken to their homes.
