KARACHI: Trader associations of Lahore, Karachi, Gujranwala and other cities have announced to fully support the strike call given by Ulema.
All Pakistan Anjuman Tajiran in Lahore formally announced its support for the strike. While All Karachi Traders Ittehad and Karachi Traders Association also announced to shut down all the business and trade centres across the megalopolis.
Karachi Goods Carriers Association and All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran Sindh have also fully extended their support to the appeal of Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.
All Pakistan CNG Association announced to support nationwide strike call. Petrol pumps will also remain closed in Karachi along other business activities in support of the strike call given by Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman.
The Sindh Bar Council also condemned the incidents in Lahore and announced that they would not be present in the courts today.
It may be recalled that Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, former chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, has strongly condemned the incidents that took place in Lahore and announced a complete strike across the country today.
At least three people were reportedly killed and several others injured in firing by Lahore Police.
